Appsbar featured on QSR Web

As more customers use their mobile devices for information, directions, take-out orders and reservations, restaurants using mobile apps to engage with their customers are better positioned for growth in 2013. To help make the process easier, Appsbar has launched a free “Create your Own App” Platform, allowing restaurant owners to create their own apps, said Scott Hirsch, founder and CEO of Appsbar.

The service creates apps quickly and helps them get published to leading App Stores, including Google Play. To date, more than 200,000 consumers and businesses have already utilized the solution.

For businesses with limited budgets, but a desire to connect with their customers via mobile devices, Appsbar is the perfect solution, Hirsch said.

Appsbar was designed to fill the gap between over-simplified apps and costly, professionally-produced apps. With personalization options, Appsbar provides an interface that guides creators through the entire process — from creation, to editing, to publication — with visual and textual clues at each step. Depending on the type of app being created, additional features may also be added, Hirsch said.

“We know that competition is fierce in the dining industry and one way for a restaurant to separate itself from the competition is to have a compelling mobile app that provides content and information,” he said. “No technical knowledge is needed to create an app via Appsbar and it has the potential to be seen by customers in your hometown or across the world.”

“It democratizes the app world because it levels the playing field”
–Scott Hirsch, Appsbar Developer

Scott Hirsch wanted to develop a free online tool with which creating a multi-platform app was “as easy as creating a Facebook page.”
By some accounts, he and his programmers did. Appsbar, at appsbar.com, has helped more than 175,000 individuals, businesses and organizations around the world make apps for free. Combined, those apps have been downloaded more than 12 million times, and the business has been operating only since last year.
